Birmingham Zoo Advertisment

This was my first project after being fully admitted into the BFA Graphic Design program at Auburn University. The project was to create an advertisement for the zoo based on an animal presently there. I chose the Ostrich. We were asked to use textures found in the real world and to scan them in. I carved the word ostrich out of chipboard, inked it, and scanned it into my computer. Other textures seen in the design are chalk rubbings of concrete walls, ceiling tiles, and wooden surfaces. The final design was meant to be a more abstract representation and focus on the letters of the word ostrich.
